Cossus :: A Brief History

Founded in 2010, Cossus began as one man's mission to try and revolutionise the way a single indoor bowls club managed their day-to-day tasks. Due to the fluid nature of volunteers at bowls clubs many tasks were not being done efficiently or were being left to a single person to complete. Coming from a technical background, it was clear how technology could help. The following section were identified on a first-pass as being key points of pain within the bowls club:

From the initial review of the requirements of one club, it became clear that a complete solution could be built that would not only meet the needs of the first club and revolutionalise how they completed day-to-day tasks, but could also be used by other clubs, bowling and otherwise. From that review Cossus was born; and we've been working to improve and expand its functionality ever since! The Cossus system is now able to help a wide range of membership-based clubs, specifically with the following requirements:

We're continuously expanding and improving the functionality of Cossus, so if there's something you don't see here that you'd really like, current client or prospective, please get in touch and we'll see if it's aligned with our vision. It's likely that if you want it, it will probably be aligned with our product vision - so we'll be more than happy to incorporate it.
